Zoning and Land Use

Few areas of the law have the day-to-day impact on the lives of Long Islanders and their businesses as that of land use and zoning which is truly the "law of the land". It is an area of practice in which success often depends as much on an advocate’s reputation and credibility as on knowledge of intricate codes and statutes. The Zoning and Land Use Department represents clients in virtually all of the major municipalities in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The focus of this area of practice is to provide a creative yet practical solution to land use issues and obtain the most expeditious and favorable results for our clients. We have established relationships with key civic associations, community groups and other representatives who are active participants in land use issues. We have found that recognizing the value of community participation helps streamline an often challenging process.
